I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have practiced for 10+ years. I received my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana State University Shreveport where I began my therapeutic journey with teens and adults struggling with substance use. I specialize in working with children, teens, and families that experience trauma and difficult life transitions. I enjoy working with young adults that have also experienced similar struggles in their youth. I am passionate about creating a safe and trusting relationship with clients in order to work toward their life and emotional goals. I firmly believe in meeting individuals where they are without judgment or prejudice to walk alongside them. I engage in evidence-based practices that are trauma-informed and place importance on establishing trust-based relationships both therapeutically and interpersonally. I seek to help individuals navigate complex thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors so they are able to meet their own goals and I am privileged to be able to be present with them all the way through the therapeutic process.
I am a psychologist license by the State of Indiana in 1999 and a member of the American Psychological Association. I am endorsed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology. I earned a Doctoral degree from Ball State University in School Psychology, a Cognate in Neuropsychology, and an additional concentration in Counseling Psychology. Doctoral internship sites were Riley Hospital Child Development Center, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Indiana Boys School. For my Doctoral Dissertation I tested 100 consecutive admissions to a residential facility with an extensive battery of neuropsychological, educational, and social-emotional tests. Analyses of these data provided the foundation for a psychological and neuropsychological model for assessing and treating children, adolescents, and adults. My clinical expertise is with persons with disruptive, harmful behavior disorders, learning disorders, and symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, as well behaviors often characterized as “ in the Spectrum”.

I am a Licensed Social Worker for the State of Indiana. I have committed my life to helping others and found my purpose and passion in working with children and adolescents. I received my Bachelor of Social Work (’14) and Master of Social Work (’18) from the University of Indianapolis. I have worked in diverse settings with all ages, assisting individuals with the effects of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and loss. I strongly encourage mindfulness with all of my clients and practice exploration of thought changes. I believe that though I hold information to assist clients in their struggles, they are still the expert in their own lives and truths.
Being a therapist allows me to offer a safe space for clients to process their own personal world. I am passionate about cultivating a trauma-informed approach that allows my clients to work through their past and integrate it into the present. I have a B.S in Psychology with a Sociology minor and Deaf Studies certificate. I received my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Play Therapy and Expressive Arts from Lipscomb University. I believe creativity and art are helpful tools in enriching the traditional rewards of talk therapy.
I believe it is important to learn about family dynamics and how this conditioning impacts current functioning. I am currently working with solely children and adolescents as a school-based therapist, which has been such an awesome journey. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and believe it is important that therapy is a safe experience for everyone.
